Every year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluates just about every vehicle on the road to determine which ones are living up to a higher standard of safety. Every year, Volkswagen finds many of its models making that list, and 2017 is no different. Six Volkswagen 2017 models earn IIHS recognition for safety. Five models were names as a top safety pick, and one was named as a top safety pick plus.
